My client’s breakthrough discovery

Let me tell you about one of my clients. This is one of my favorite stories!
For her entire life — well, as long as she can remember — 2 p.m. has been her “cookie time.”
Every afternoon, she craved chocolate chip cookies. And almost every afternoon, she’d eat one or two (or three).
She’d never given it any thought — until she started using a food journal.
The surface and change it!
This is also why working with a coach gets you faster results…
Once you commit to a goal and have accountability, your brain gets to work to make it happen. And then she wondered, “What is up with this cookie habit?!”
The next time she visited her parents, she casually mentioned what she noticed to her mother…
AND she was reminded that her mother always gave her a cookie after she woke up from her afternoon nap.
Wow, right?
To me, this story illustrates just how ingrained and automatic our behaviors and thoughts around food can become -– without us even knowing it!
Now that she knows WHY she craves those cookies, she has a little laugh to herself every time it happens.
Sometimes, she eats a cookie… but most of the time, she doesn't. She swaps it for carrots and hummus.
This leads to the question: Do you have any old food associations or habits? It’s worth exploring!
And… if you haven’t received your copy of the Food & Mood Journal yet, you can download it under "Module Food & Mood Journal."
Make it a fantastic day,
Coach Lu
P.S. The reason my client was able to see these patterns is because she was looking for them. That might sound obvious, but for most of us, awareness is a DECISION.
We’re usually too caught up in our to-do lists, routines, and habits to identify what’s really going on beneath
